With the high cost and complexity of purchasing new machinery for manufacturing
structural foam components, retrofitting the existing controls is often an ideal
solution to an obsolete or poor control system.
JVH’s structural foam controls upgrade will meet all of your processing needs.
Our multi-shot injection control comes standard with 12 independent injection
sequences allowing the assignment of various nozzles to each sequence. This
approach to injection control maximizes flexibility by isolating individual mold
cavities or groups of cavities during injection which in turn lowers the fill
pressure and allows larger areas to be filled for a given tonnage machine. Each
injection sequence has three steps of pressure limiting velocity control with
nozzles opened and closed during any part of the sequence via DeviceNet.
Temperature control for all process loops is provided through the Allen-Bradley based controller. AB’s Enhanced PID algorithm provides low cost heat/cool zones while allowing access to all loop parameters from the machine HMI.
With multiple industrial communication formats available, a JVH designed solution can talk to most modern AC or DC extruder drives. Adding drive communications allows more process information such as RPM, torque and power to be available for data management and graphing from the HMI or any networked supervisory system.
Is your level of hydraulic control falling short? No problem. JVH can tailor new hydraulic manifolds and hardware to meet whatever level of control you need. Integrating high performance bi-directional proportional valves, JVH can give you the most repeatable hydraulic control scheme available today.
A JVH Engineering controls solution provides a non-proprietary, off the shelf Allen-Bradley based control solution to meet the most demanding processing requirements.
